Since the practice commenced in 1993, Chilton Architects has completed a large range of residential and small commercial projects in Melbourne and country Victoria.

As a small practice we offer a personalized service from the first briefing to the final completion of the project. We develop a close relationship with our clients to ensure our design reflects and enhances their lifestyle and makes the process of building or renovating their home an exciting and rewarding experience.

Our designs grow from our understanding of our client’s needs and dreams, responding to the site or existing building, to produce a light filled, contemporary environment. Exciting design solutions are not restricted by budget –challenging budgets and tight sites sometimes provide the best results.

Residential renovations take their cues from the existing building but are not limited by the existing forms or materials – contemporary interventions can enhance and expand the original building to suit modern living while celebrating the past.

Elizabeth Chilton has worked on a broad range of projects including large scale civic projects such museums, embassies, and urban design; heritage building conversions and renovations; luxury houses and apartments; townhouse developments; office fitouts and health clinics.

A registered architect and Fellow of the Australian Institute of Architects, in 2004 she was shortlisted for the Architects Service Award recognising excellence in architectural practice.
